From Previous Year 2004-05:

Welcome to the Literature Project of Lower Canada College's Gr. 10 students of English.

The goal of the project is to share elements of our Canadian culture by exploring the lyrics of popular Canadian music artists.

The students were asked to not only provide their interpretation of their lyrics as seen through their Canadian eyes, but to also make meaningful connections of Canada's history and our present-day culture here in Montréal, Québec, Canada. They were asked to state what it is to be Canadian. A short biography of each of the artists or bands were also provided.

Neveh Channah School in Israel has been working on the project to share their culture through lyric poetry and music. It has been a pleasure to exchange our points of view, our cultural similarities and differences, and our histories with each other.
